HI D/HALO ,,I did add a switch to connect pin 2 & 3 for mono & disconnect 2&3 for dd it seems to work ok..

HI D/HALO,,,,,,,, OK I did not check my DD coil plug so I guess you are correct ,So switch is not nessasary if wire with pin 2&3 disconnected ,,..

THANKS for the feedback ,I will keep looking for any performance mods ,I am to finnally take it out for some real ground testing in the VIC gold fields in a week or two ,,I will report-back on my tests..

HI D/HALO ,, OK I may have the numbering wrong But ,we have Black [screen &neg]TX ,,Red plus -coil TX....
YELLOW RX = neg BLUE RX = pos ..I have Blue disconnected from RED & a switch to reconnect ..for mono..coils..

Mine works A-OK with the mono & I feel it works A-OK in the DD mode for a DD coil ..Saying that You are probably correct in that the mono coil plugs do join the Red& blue once plugged in to socket..

THANKS MATE,,,,,,,,,,,BARRY in SA..PS I modified the lower stalk on F1A4 Fibre-glass section ,By cutting off the coil connector & fitting a short section from a old Fisher stalk [fibre-glass] slid in 2''by trimming the fluted F1A4 End & then used fibre Glass resin to fix it in ..SEE PIC,s..

GREAT-STUFF ,GLEN,, WELL I hope to test mine-out in VIC gold fields soon along with my Whites GMT3 ,I have only used these in my Back-yard so far so it will be interesting to get into some mineralized ground ..

I altered my original F1A4 coil connection by using the inside section ,doing away with the unusual army connector see pic..
I cut away the rear of the Box plastic to allow more angle..
I live in SA Midnorth 200ks Nth of Adelaide about 8 hours from vic gold fields [never detected any-where before] ..

We need to keep a look-out for future Mods !!!!!.. nothing public so far only what we did...
