Hi All, I am selling my detector as I want to experiment a little further and want to get hold of a GP to play with!!! follow the link below for more detailed info and photos of the detector....

Okay here is the beast! It has ALL known working mods and runs very smooth and sharp. What I intend is to sell either the detector for $3000 or trade a GP Xtreme or a 3000 with a changeover of $1000 (as most GP X & 3000 seem to only fetch around 2K now a days). I intend to only trade the control box as that keeps it simple and those interested can keep all their coils etc. but of course this can be worked out for those first time buyers.  Below are the photos with explanations.
1: Front panel

Starting from the left yo have the Battery Indicator LED then the Power plug, followed by the On/Off and 5 frequency switch. (1 & 2 are Std 2000 freq, 3 is 2.4Mhz, 4 is 3Mhz and 5 is 4Mhz) Below to the right is a switch that switches between the 4 Frequency or VCO at the top (directly above and to the right of the on off control) is a 15 turn control that goes through the frequencies (shown in below photo) controlled by the next switch that goes from 1 - 11 positions. The photo shows only 9 but since we broke the 1Mhz modification I added 2 more. To the right you have the 2 knobs top being Tone and bottom being Threshold. Then we have the inbuilt Audio amp controls (Switch on/off and Volume)

These are the frequencies notice that I put it on upside down for ease of reading when using the detector...

The next photo is the standing view of the back panel (power side) as above

The following photo is of the Front Panel (Coil Side):

Staring from the top, Coil Plug, DD - Mono Enhance switch, this is the one with the added resistor made for Salt coils but works also with DD as a normal DD - Mono switch. Then you have the GPM controls that need no explanation. You will notice that next to the Balance switch is an extra knob. This is a control that gives extra ground balance in channel 2 (seeing as channel 2 is mostly the balance that goes to a point where you run out. This works the opposite to the GPM, when fully clockwise you are standard balance control and moving anti-clockwise allows you to extend your balance range. I found in the field when I ran out of balance I only needed to move this a fraction and was back in balance.

There you have it. The list of mods is extensive and too much to go into here but believe me when I say that no other 2000 around has the mods that this unit has and ALL of the mods are ONLY those that work! None of the "this gives extra depth or smoothes the machine" the mods have been carefully tried and tested and only those that proved to work were incorporated. The detector runs very smooth and is relatively quite compared to others. This is the machine that I use and only because of 3 reasons am I selling it. One I have another that I will mod later when I fix it and two, I want to play around with some mods I have thought about with a GP and lastly I need the cash for another project. So I am prepared to part with my "Baby" I can also supply a better power side label as that has gotten grotty over the years if wanted. Okay then, If anyone is interested then call or email me.

If I don't receive any offers over the next few days then I will be auctioning it on eBay soon. As normal the detector comes with my full backup support as always.
