New Mods

Hi All,

I am currently working on a couple of new mods that should improve performance. I actually did this mod a couple of years ago but run into problems when after testing (which worked fine) I connected it to the MD power rails it misfunctioned. Now I am working on using an external seperate power source (that's how I tested it originally). This will work as an addon to the 4 position switch which will allow you to select ANY timing from below position 1 through to position 3. It is similar to a frequency control on a Radio. When testing it really worked fantastic and gave far better results than the fixed frequency modes that we presently use. I will keep you posted on the progress. The other mod is not so much a mod but a battery pack similar to the one that Reeds prospecting sell, but hopefully lighter and will function with our regulator. Again I will keep you posted on this as well.

Also on another point. I have noticed that sometimes the detector gets better performance (depth) when the voltage is turned down in certain areas and with certain coils (so far small coils) so keep an eye on that and do some experimenting.
