Thanks for your reply and advice to Wishbone and I regarding our discussion on “Powerlines and the 2000m†Glad to be able to help you with any tips that you may pick up as I do from your web site and forum postings. I agree that your mod, so far for me anyway, has been bullet-proof especially with all the switching back and forth I do through the different mod settings on offer when I perform my testing sessions or on the nugget hunt.
Your point about the front-ends receive FET’s on the 2000’s made me review my notes taken after a phone call to you earlier in the year. You made me aware to be careful of “High Signal Spikes†through the coils if near large objects for to long, as the front-ends are weak on 2000’s. I think you said they are rated at 200 volts and the 2200’s are much stronger being rated at 400 to 500 volts.
Would the GPM’s be at more risk of damage due to these spikes if running with all mods settings flat out?<br><br>Post edited by: GaryQ, at: 2004/12/03 21:35
