and Warren"

"Doesn't that get confusing?"

"Naah..." says the Rockingham girl.

"Its great because if they are out playing in the street I just have to shout Warren, YER DINNER'S READY or Warren GO TO BED NOW and they all do it..."

"What if you want to speak to one individually?" says the perturbed Centrelink worker.

"That's easy," says the Rockingham girl... "I just use their surnames"

AirLine Flight Airline Fright?

A plane was taking off from Kennedy Airport. After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, nonstop from New York to Los Angeles. The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight. Now sit back and relax... OH, MY GOD!" ----- Silence followed, and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier. While I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!" A passenger in Coach yelled, "That's nothing. You should see the back of mine!"

GD1000 Kalgoorlie Demo PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ismael Jones
Tuesday, 20 December 2005

I have an email of the demonstration of this detector in Kalgoorlie. It seems to be a very good detector and actually blew away all competition remarkably well. Once I have contacted Gerald I will hopefully post the whole comparison here but as they put a notice in the email I cannot ethically post the information without first getting the okay from AuQuest. I can't see there being any problem but the disclaimer doesn't give me the right to post the information. Sorry guys but I don't like to assume I can post it until I get permission. If I remember I will call Gerald tomorrow and see what I can do. Until then just have some patience. On the bright side it seems that AuQuest are on a winner here and definitely have become serious competition for Minelab.

GD1000 Demonstration Report PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ismael Jones
Saturday, 03 December 2005

Today we went to the AuQuest GD1000 Demonstration, mostly apart from my mate Allan, myself and Berndt (Reeds Prospecting Supply), were coin hunters. The demo was in a patch of laterite which was quite noisy ground. Targets were pre-buried by Gerald (One of the designers). The demo included Berndt using the GP3500 to establish how that machine picked up the targets compared with the GD1000. The GP was quite unstable on the ground picking up the mineralisation and unable to balance it out. However, it did find all the targets with a good response. Both detectors using a 14"DD coil. Most impressive was the GD1000 run without any external noise completely quiet until it went over the targets. After the official demonstration Gerald allowed others to touch and feel the unit. My mate Allan started to see how it went from a user point of view.

For those of you in WA (Perth) AuQuest are doing a demo on the GD1000 in the Darling Ranges off Canning Road this coming weekend. They state in the invites that they will have Minelab GP's also to demonstrate against. I hope to go and have a look see and my mate is taking his GPM to test against also. Should be interesting to say the least. I will keep you all informed of the outcome
